Are you a UK based Chef Recruitment Agency?

Yes, HTE Recruitment is a UK based Chef recruitment agency, all our Chef recruiters are UK based only.

Is it just permanent chef jobs you recruit for?

Yes, we only cover permanent chef jobs. There is two types of agencies Recruitment Agencies (permanent) and Employment businesses (Temps). We find by focusing just on permanent: we can offer a better service to find clients talent instead of the daily management of temp workers, that can distract from matching and find you talent.

I am a job seeker, do i need a CV?

Yes, all candidates need a CV. a CV is just a document that states where you have worked, it is really important to have one as without this, you can not really see suitability for a role. 

Can you help with sponsorship

No, currently none of our clients have a sponsorship license. 

I need a permanent chef, can you help us find one?

Yes, we will need information about the role to get matching on the position for you. we cover the whole of the UK and can help with permanent chef gaps

What is the process to recruiting a chef?

  • give HTE Recruitment a job remit
  • Our chef recruiters will match on the role and create a short list
  • Our recruiters will register suitable candidates and go  over the cv and background
  • Our recruiters will tell candidates about your company and position, they will send what we call a JD email with info about the role and ask candidates to email back to give permission to submit a cv. This is a very important step, sadly some agencies do not tell candidates about jobs before cv sending. This just wastes everyone time and we always do this step (unless it is a confidential role)
  • we will submit CV’s to yourself
  • you will come back within 3 working days with interview slots
  • Our recruiters will arrange interviews and trials
  • on the day of a interview/trial we will check in the candidate
  • we will then arrange feedback after the interview or trial
  • we will put the offer to candidates and secure them

You sent a cv, do i need to give you a answer?

Yes please. It is really important to let us know the outcome. The reason for this is becuase if we do not give candidates feedback or a update, candidates can get a bad impression of the hiring company. We ask for feedback within 3 days

How many chefs do you have?

We have a database of around 39,000 candidates, with over 25,000 being chefs. In addition to this we have access to online databases of chefs. Not all chefs are looking however, these are the best candidates sometimes, the ones who are not active

What are your opening hours

We are open from 730am to 530pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 230pm on a friday
