Birthdays are a great way to attract customers to your business, regardless if your a Restaurant, Hotel, Bar or Retail shop. There are so many discounts and with many companies having a App or newsletter, they are easy to manager. Yes it costs but customers normally tell 10 other people about your company, due to a free cookie or coffee.
If you have a Birthday coming up, why not sign up for a newsletter or app and you could get a free cake slice, cookie, side order or drink. Take a look at some of the UK offers for Birthday treats, most will require you to be over 18 due to using a App.
Here is a selection of companies who are doing freebies, discounts and gifts for a birthday via company newsletters or app’s. These are UK based birthday freebies and birthday discounts.
Frankie & Benny’s
Freebie: Voucher for a free main meal. Sign up for Frankie and benny’s rewards app and you’ll be sent a voucher 10 days before your birthday.
Burger King
Freebie: Free Whopper or Plant-Based Whopper. Sign up for BK rewards and add your birthday under ‘Account Info’.T&Cs: Valid for 14 days.
Greggs
Freebie: Free cake item. Download the greggs app and check the ‘rewards’ tab on your birthday.
Gail’s bakery
Freebie: Free item on your birthday, it is not clear what this is at the time of writing this page, this is with the Gail’s bakery app. This is the upmarket London bakery chain that is opening up north now. This is fairly new the app (only launched June 2023, so we will see what the Birthday treat is soon)
Hotel Chocolat
Freebie: £5 loyalty card. Sign up for a Hotel Chocolat VIP card and sign up online. You must spend £5 min
Ikea
Freebie: £5 voucher in the past however this is looking like it might change
Hobby craft
Freebie: £5 voucher on your birthday if you sign up for the club. This can be used on most items and you just need to spend £5. You normally get about a week to use it.
Barburrito
Freebie: Free burrito. How to claim your freebie: Download the Barburrito Rewards App and register. Our director got his voucher about 3 weeks prior to his birthday. Register here
Costa Coffee
Freebie: Free cake. signup for costa app club and enter your date of birth on the website or app. You will receive an electronic Cake Voucher on your birthday. This can be any cake, so a slice of the round cakes or a cake slice. Click here to download the costa app
Krispy Kreme
Freebie: Free doughnut of your choice, our director got his at the start of the month, so you get 1 month to use the voucher, which is really good. This is only for the stores owned by them not within supermarkets.
Tortilla
Freebie: Free burrito. Join the Tortilla club on the website and you’ll be emailed a voucher on your birthday for a free burrito.
Las Iguanas
Freebie: One free meal. Sign up to the newsletter for this restaurant and you’ll be emailed a voucher a week before your birthday.
Beefeater Grill
Freebie: Free main meal. Sign up for a beefeater reward card. Around your birthday, you’ll be emailed a voucher that you’ll need to present either printed or on your phone.

This is not a restaurant but a very good app that gives you a birthday freebie, we added it to the list as well. This is a app that gives you chance to try things for free or a reduced price. You purchase the item, scan the receipt and in around 5 days get the money into your account. For your birthday for gold level members (10 transactions to become gold and 1 every 30 days after that) you get a birthday gift on your birthday, last year it was a tony choc bar. register here
