Transport planner in Darlington
Fulltime Position
Transport planner required for a haulage company in the Darlington area. This company has over 90 vehicles and over 195 trailers, they ship cargo around the UK for a wide range of companies and have there own warehouse facilities as well. This transport planner role is upto £31k and based in the offices in the Darlington area. Mainly Monday to friday on two shift patterns which switch around 5 am – 3 pm and 8.30am – 6 pm
The role
as a transport planner you will plan the route for a set number of vehicles, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. you will plan the best route for them, ensuring they are on the right roads and most cost effective route. This role will include all the normal transport planner duties
Experience
we are looking for a transport planner who can manage at least 50 trucks, good knowledge of UK routes and the different types of routes for cargo etc.
