Transport planner in Aylesham
Fulltime Position
Transport planner required in the Aylesham area of kent of a transport company who imports and exports to and from the UK. This transport planner role is a monday to friday role, upto £35k salary. Transport planner required who will manage the drivers with the road freight to the EU.
The role
As a transport planner you will manage the drivers and subcontractors for the various transport routes. You will be Managing and updating various third-party systems and portals, arranging collections, deliveries, ferry crossings, tolls, customs clearance, various permits and licences. You will be Working closely with Operations Manager looking after a large number of customers’ accounts. you will also be Managing various documents and paperwork ensuring it meets company’s compliance criteria. This role will include all the normal transport planner duties.
Experience
We are looking for a Transport planner from a transport or freight forwarding background. you will have good people skills, good with clients, you will have a understanding of the customs that will need to be in place for each of the loads. You will be organised and able to work in a busy office. · Have experience in UK/EU Road Haulage and/or Freight Forwarding and Have working knowledge on current UK/EU Customs Clearance requirements.
