Transport planner in Bradford

Fulltime Position

Transport Planner required for a logistics company in Bradford, this role will be monday to friday, managing the planning of 16-20 trucks plus around 10 subbys. Transport planner role paying a salary of  £38K plus health insurance, mobile phone plus a bonus as well. 

the role
As a Transport Planner, you will manage you own group of trucks and subby’s, you will plan the routes and be very proactive to try and get extra work/backloads to get the trucks running as productively as possible, you will get commission on the sales of the extra loads/backloads. You will plan the routes, ensure the most productive route and manage the drivers hours etc. This transport planner role is monday to friday with phone cover for emergencies outside of this. This transport planner role will include all the standard transport planner duties

Experience
We are looking for a transport planner with good planning skills, good communication skills with both drivers and customers and a proactive mindset to be looking out for additional backloads to make the trucks as productive as possible.
