Fulltime Position

SQL Developer (12 months fixed term contract) to support the Head of systems to bring together all the data this company uses into one place. This company has a number of products including products in the consumer markets, sold within UK and international retailers. The company currently uses advance Excel spreadsheets and other sources to record data. A part of the drive to move the company to the next stages, they are bringing together all this complex data into one place.  Culture is really important within this company, they do regular team building days & socials, lager fridge for a Friday, pool table and many other things to create a team culture.

The role
As a SQL Developer you will be to be hands on in the architecture, design and delivery of
data transformation and visualisation within a varied and agile environment. This role is to use SQL and BI technologies to support the next stage of the development of our internal systems and databases, specifically for management reporting. The SQL Developer will be responsible for developing SQL databases and writing applications to interface with SQL databases, including designing tables, stored procedures, views and functions, ensuring their stability, reliability and performance. This role will include all the normal SQL Developer duties.

For this SQL Developer  role you will have a Strong understanding of SQL Server & T-SQL programming, Strong knowledge in data warehouse: designing, operating and maintenance. You will also have good working knowledge of data scheme patterns (dimensional models, star schemas). You will also be strong with design, build and deploy BI solutions.
