Ocean Import Customer Service clerk in Manchester

Fulltime Position

Ocean Import Customer Service clerk required for a Freight forwarding company in Manchester. This Manchester role is upto £28k and working in a booming sector. 

The role
As a Ocean Import Clerk you will  be part of a team of people who are responsible for the import of goods, ensuring that transit and delivery is made on time. This means that you will liaise regularly with overseas offices, subcontractors, partners or agents. You will be doing customs activities will be made in line with the defined AEO program & HMRC regulations. Your role will involve checking the type & value of goods ensuring that they are legal and legitimate, and ensure that goods are cleared prior to release. This role will also include generating quotations, follow up and record the outcome of all quotations in CW1. This role will include all the normal Ocean Freight Clerk roles. 

We are looking for a Ocean Freight Clerk with knowledge of Quotations, customs paperwork and the standard ocean freight admin.
