European route Transport planner near Rochester kent
Fulltime Position
European Transport planner required in the Thamesport area, near to Rochester, £31-35k, manage the European routes for items from the UK bound for Europe. You will manage a wide range of trucks that move items from uk across Europe. You will ensure the routes are well planned to ensure the goods arrive as planned. This logistics company hands a wide range of products and has a range of services for clients wanting to move goods to and from the port as well as other destinations. This transport planner role is a very key part of the business. Most of the trucks are dropping items into Europe, so they do focus on trying to bring a backload back into the UK to get the best use of the driver and truck.
The role
As a European transport planner you will manage the routes for the large number within the fleet. you will plan the European routes, ensure the pick up and drop off criteria is met, you will ensure the best route is planned for the goods to get the best cost to transport the goods. This role will include all the standard European Transport planner duties.
Experience
As a European Transport planner you will have around 2-3 years expeirence as a transport planner and able to manage a fleet of trucks and trailers, on European routes
