Types of 'front of house' positions we recruit for :
Restaurant Managers A restaurant manager is the person who is incharge of the Restaurant. They will manage all areas of the restaurant, often getting involved in recruitment, staff training, marketing the restaurant, upselling, ensuring the high standards.
The role changes a little if its a branded restaurant, hotel restaurant, rosette restaurant or michelin restaurant
Assistant Restaurant Managers
The assistant restaurant manager reports into the restaurant manager and is incharge of the restaurant when the manager is off. They will also have a few areas of responsibility.
A head waiter/ess is incharge of the restaurant operationally during service and set up.
Chef de rang
A chef de rang is a section waiter/ess and incharge of a section of tables in a restaurant. This job title is normally used in rosette and michelin restaurant.
A operation manager is the number two in the hotel, all the operational departments report into this person. Reception, Restaurant, Kitchen, Housekeeping, C&B.
General Manager (hotel)
The General manager is the main boss in the hotel. All other managers report into the General Manager. Depending on the hotel will depend on if the role is a hand on focus, sales focus, financial focus or a little of everything.
Reception Manager (hotel)
Incharge of the reception department, the night team, day receptionist and porters report into this person. They are incharge that all check in's, check out's run smoothly and the switchboard is answered.
They often work shift patterns of 7-3 and 3-11 and they check guests in to the hotel, check them out of the hotel and answer the switchboard.
